Let me just say this. I LOVE shooting weddings!! I’m so happy that I took the leap into doing this because I love the couples that I meet, their wonderful friends & families and the special touches they do on their big day to make it unique to them. After this past weekend, I was a little sad that my time with Chantel & Dave was almost done for now (thankfully we’re friends on Facebook, so I’ll be able to keep up with them).

You may remember Chantel & Dave from this post, Beautiful People in Love. Well, they tied the knot in Mexico last month and held their reception here in Edmonton last weekend. I got to hang out with the girls in the morning while everyone was getting ready, and then ride in the limo to all the various locations with the whole wedding party & Chantel’s parents.

Their reception was held at the Polish Hall, which was so amazingly decorated and I stayed until almost midnight. They had a fun game where you had to answer trivia questions about the couple to get them to kiss, rather than your usual glass clinking (I even got part of one of the questions right!)

 This is by far, the best cake cutting ever!!

 This was the hit that cracked open the Pinata - note the candy flying out.
